The role involves understanding, troubleshooting, maintenance, and change implementation of the existing SCADA system developed on the Ignition platform. The candidate should be able to troubleshoot CodeSys-related issues and handle live SCADA systems. Experience in Energy Management will be an added advantage.

Design, develop, and maintain SCADA systems using Inductive Automation’s Ignition platform

Develop and configure HMI screens, data tags, alarms, and reports

Build site-level and central monitoring systems

Integrate data from PLCs, RTUs, sensors, and databases

Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and enhancements of live SCADA systems
-
Maintain documentation, standards, and version control
-
Follow industry best practices, cybersecurity, and safety guidelines

Work closely with operations and support teams

Ignition CORE Certification (Mandatory) | GOLD Certification (Preferred)

Expertise in Ignition Designer & Ignition Perspective

Strong knowledge of Python scripting within Ignition

Experience with OPC Server/Client integration

Hands-on experience with Tag Historian & reporting

Database integration with MariaDB / InfluxDB using SQL Bridge

Alarm management, alerts, backup & restore operations

Integration with email and messaging services

Industrial protocols: Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, DNP3, OPC UA, MQTT

Basic PLC knowledge: Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider

Database knowledge: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server

Networking fundamentals and system security understanding
